ArcheryPro and ArcheryWatch are built on an Offline-First architecture. We do not collect, monitor, store on external servers, or sell any of your personal identity data, shot history, location coordinates, or biometric information.
1. Data Storage and Apple iCloud
All your records (shooting sessions, ends, millimeter arrow hit coordinates, bow configurations, arrow sets, and sight marks) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
Multi-device synchronization (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch) is handled exclusively through your private Apple iCloud (CloudKit) container. The developer has zero access to your iCloud database and cannot read or export your data.
2. Health & Activity Data (HealthKit)
The ArcheryWatch companion app requests access to Apple HealthKit to:
- Record Archery workout sessions to the Apple Health app.
- Display live heart rate and compute active calories burned during training.
HealthKit data is processed solely on your device, is never used for advertising or tracking, and is never shared with third parties.
3. Biomechanics & Motion Analysis (CoreMotion)
ArcheryWatch uses watchOS motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to detect shots automatically and calculate arm stability during the aiming phase. Motion signal processing occurs in real time directly on the Apple Watch. Raw sensor data is not stored in external repositories and never leaves your device.
4. Device Permissions
- Camera and Photo Library: Used solely upon your explicit action to take photos of targets/equipment and save generated high-res scorecards to your camera roll.
- Location: Used only when the app is active to help locate archery ranges and show coordinates on Apple Maps.
- Local Network (Bonjour): Used to establish a direct local target tablet connection to the referee tournament server without internet routing.
5. Analytics and Tracking
We do not integrate any third-party tracking frameworks (such as Google Analytics or Facebook SDK) and do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA). The application is 100% ad-free.
